Who knows what it was
That was the cause
Of Steven Snell’s most horrid faux pas.
For today, while cases climb
And students isolate for a lifetime
Oh, poor Steven, committed a heinous crime.
While the dining hall was packed
And Steven was in line, avoiding eye contact
With his nose hairs he felt something interact.
While at first it was of little import
It began to itch, and Steven’s nose to contort
It was on its way, no matter his sniffle and snort.
From within it rose with steady slowness
All the while, his abdomen struck with clonus
In his wide eyes, was a clear onus.
Out his mouth arose a most feared mayhem
Out of his nose flew a whirlwind of phlegm
It landed in the roast mash
Making quite the splash
But the chef who bore witness didn’t bat an eyelash
The cook surmised it must have been the chili surprise
But what no one in the line at that moment realized
Was something floating in the air invisible to their eyes
Yes, they all had COVID
